When Batgirl appeared on the scene, Batman was wearing his light grey and blue batsuit. Barbara Gordon Batgirl Costume was an all-black body suit. Her cowl would be exactly like Batman’s, except hers came down in little triangles underneath the eyes. Batgirl used yellow as her accent color. The boots and gloves were the same shape as Batman’s, down to the spikes on the sides. A yellow bat was stretched completely across her upper chest. Barbara also wore a utility belt like the Dynamic Duo but hers had a large bat for the buckle. Despite having gadgets on her belt, she also took to wearing what looks like a purse. I guess a girl has to accessorize even when fighting crime.

Barbara Gordon Batgirl Costume
Barbara Gordon was created because the 1960’s Batman television series, starring Adam West. Producers of the show were looking for a way to increase ratings by drawing in a female demographic. To accomplish this they requested that the comics create a female character they could use in their TV show. Barbara Gordon was introduced in the 1967 issue of Detective Comics #359. The new Batgirl was extremely popular; she would not only team up with Batman and Robin but also other characters within the DC Universe. She became more than a Batman spin off character. In 1988 readers would see the end of Barbara Gordon as Batgirl. She retired her secret identity in Batgirl Special #1 and then was shot in the spine by the Joker in the graphic novel Batman: The Killing Joke.

Nightwing's Full Equipment
Nightwing Suit: Nightwing's costume was built by Dick Grayson himself and specifically designed for his abilities. It appears to be light-sensitive, grows darker or lighter depending on lighting conditions in order to utilize Nightwing's mastery of stealth. It is fire resistant and bulletproof so that it provides Nightwing complete mobility and protection against advanced weaponry.
Nightwing's mask grants the ability to focus on points farther than the naked eye as well as night vision.
Holographic Computer: Nightwing retains his Holographic computer on his glove which grants him access to his own computer interface including data files and schematics.
Utility Belt: Nightwing carries a modified version of his old Utility Belt which has several pockets around his waist for instant access to his several gadgets including:

Evolution of Dick Grayson
I’ve always been a Dick Grayson robin fan, when he became nightwing that was another whole level of awesomeness. I honestly like him as much as i like batman.
Dick Grayson starts out as Batman’s original protégé, the leads the Teen Titans, and finally steps out as Nightwing with his own Nightwing costume. Grayson is the one whose original function was simply to provide a bit of normalcy and brightness in the dark world of Bruce and was originally a bit of a liability out in the field. Over the years, he’s grown into a leader, the unquestioned second-in-command of the Bat family, and the person that everyone expects to step into the Batsuit when Bruce is missing.

The New 52 Nightwing Costume
On September 21, 2011 DC Comics relaunched Nightwing with issue #1 as part of The New 52, and Dick Grayson also received his new nightwing costume, no too different from his traditional black and blue suit.
The new costume has changed the color of the Nightwing symbol from blue to red, and the emblem rolls over the shoulders, rather than traveling down the arm onto the middle and ring fingers. The new nightwing suit has also shifted from a skin-tight unitard look to an armored, full body suit, with spiked gauntlets such as Batman's rather than simply long gloves.
In The New 52, Dick has returned to the Nightwing identity after briefly serving as Batman. He becomes the new head of Haly's Circus after the former owner, Mr. Haly, dies.

Traditional Nightwing Costume
Dick Grayson became Nightwing after he was dismissed from the role of Robin at eighteen.
He wears a high-tech suit specially designed for his high-flying acrobatic style. The Nightwing costume is a black bodysuit with blue shoulder-pads. His chest is emblazoned with a blue stylized bird with its wings across his shoulders and extends to his hands, coloring his two middle fingers. The suit was an excellent protection against damage, and was also insulated against electricity. His costume was branded to his style of fighting. Therefore, the nightwing suit contained less body-armor inlays than Batman, for a decreased need of shock-absorption.
